After the marriage of Lord Venkateswara with Padmavathi, Sri Venkateswara swamy told him not to climb the hill for six months as per the orders of agastya mahamuni, so Sri Venkateswara Swamy stayed with padmavathi devi for six months in srinivasa mangapuram and hence the name srinivasamangapuram. History tells us that he made a restoration. The idols of Annamacharyas and Peda Tirumalacharyas can still be seen in the galigopuram of the temple. Annamayya’s descendants are said to have settled in the Madidadu area of the present Annamayya district. The idols worshipped by Annamayya are the idols of Annamayya 11th generation dynasty, Srinivasacharyulu at the time of the kainkaryas in their house. Then Swamy Venkateswara Ordered Srinivasacharyulu in his dream to send the idols to SrinivasaMangapuram. Srinivasacharyulu immediately wrote a letter to his descendants residing in Tirupati and handed them over to Srinivasa Mangapuram temple in the presence of Sriman Veturi Prabhakara Sastry. We can still see those idols in the secluded service in Srinivasa Mangapuram
